In honor of his achievements, Brigadier General Royland M. Orquia has been recognized and received a commendation from Sangguniang Panlungsod on December 03, 2019 during the 22nd Regular Session. He was accompanied by his family in receiving the plaque.
Last November 12, 2019, in a ceremony held at the General Headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the former Colonel now Brigadier General was promoted to a next higher rank.
Brigadier General Orquia is a native of Malaybalay and is now serving as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9, AFP. Prior to his present position he was the Assistant Chief of Staff Reservist and Retiree Affairs, G9, PA and has served as Deputy Commander of 403rd Infantry (Peacemaker) Brigade Mindanao and many others.
Legislators emphasized that his promotion and countless awards for his 31 years of military service, bespeaks his hardships and sacrifices which attests his commitments to perform his duties with utmost dedication and highest standards in serving our country.
They further expressed that Orquia is truly an inspiration and worthy of emulation. Indeed, deserving to accord him due recognition from the City.
