City of Malaybalay intensifies fight against COVID-19; private and gov’t doctors commit to help

City Mayor Florencio “Doc Boy” Flores, Jr. sat down with Malaybalay Hospital owners, Medical Directors and Practicing Physicians of the City of Malaybalay today, March 16, 2020 at the CMO Conference Room.

Plans are in place to install a city-wide “Enhanced Screening Area” (ESA) to be run by the City Government. The Malaybalay physicians both in the private and public sectors signified their support and commitment that they will assist in the fight against COVID.

The ESA is a unified outpatient clinic for patients with respiratory complaints only, namely, fever, cough, colds, sore throat, generalised body pains, which are signs and symptoms of COVID. In order to prevent spread and protect our front liners (doctors, nurses, etc) all out patient consults with this kind of complaints will be catered in this area.

The ESA is expected to be ready on March 20, 2020 and will be operational from then on, Mondays – Fridays 8-5pm
