City Government of Malaybalay recognized the fruit of hard work and sacrifice of our 53 City scholars who made it to the finish line as graduates of Batch 2017-2018 under the special program of City Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri dubbed, “City Comprehensive Scholarship Program.”

Another milestone has been achieved by our hopeful City scholars after the program turns 17 years in implementation which Mayor Zubiri authored this almost two decades ago since he was then first councilor of the City.

Newly graduates along with their parents and guardians celebrated this momentous occasion as the City Government hosted the testimonial and recognition night at the Garden Party Venue, Malaybalay City on June 22, 2018.

Among the graduates, three were honor graduates ‘cum laude’ namely Karl James T. Gallogo, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Central Mindanao University; Justin Zyril Oyasan, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management at Bukidnon State University; and Joshua James R. Villaflores, Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology at San Isidro College.

Honorees in their testimonies thanked the City Government for a one of a kind opportunity to avail such privilege that helped a lot in financial woes of schooling.

They hoped that City officials will still remain and support Mayor Zubiri’s special program that had tremendous impact on the scholars and realize the dreams of the youth of the City to earn a degree.

City Vice Mayor Roland F. Deticio, in behalf of the City Mayor, along with the attendance of Councilor Warren R. Pabillaran, Councilor Rendon P. Sangalang and incoming SK Federation President Dave Julian Balore awarded the achievement medals and incentives to honor graduates as well as certificates of recognition to all scholar graduates.
