City of Malaybalay joined the nation in the celebration of 121st Rizal Day, with the theme: “Mabuting Kaisipan, Susi sa Kaunlaran.”

The offertory program was spearheaded by the City Government of Malaybalay held at Plaza Rizal on December 30, 2017.

City Officials and employees along with the attendance from national-lined agencies, Poblacion Barangays, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Bureau of Fire and Protection, BJMP, academe, non-government organizations, boy scouts and girl scouts of the Philippines, remembered our national hero Gat. Jose R. Rizal through the conduct of ceremonial flag-raising and wreath-laying.

City Vice Mayor Roland F. Deticio led the symbolic wreath-laying together with Deputy Brigade Commander, Colonel Royland M Orquia GSC (INF) PA and City Officials Hon. Warren I. Pabillaran, Hon. Lorenzo L. Dinlayan, Jr., Hon. Louel M. Tortola and Hon. Erwin Damasco. Also, Hon. Cromwell Kiril Dinlayan, Provincial Board Member – 2nd District graced the event.

Vice Mayor Deticio in his celebratory message memorialized the sacrifices of our national hero.

He said the life of Rizal was a manifestation that we can achieve such amazing feat and served this as a challenge for each and every one of us to do what is just for the betterment of our country and continue to aspire for a brighter future more importantly for our youth.
