Our City had already identified organic-farmer practitioners. They had been organized and were able to found the Malaybalay City Organic Farmers Association (MACOFA) with Mr. Benjamin M. Maputi Sr. as President.
To further develop and sustain the association, they were not only trained to produce but were encouraged to be agri-preneurs. Thus, through the efforts of the City Agriculture Office and with the support from the City Government of Malaybalay, a Display Center inside the New Public Market was created for an easy access to our local and organic products.
In addition, our City was privileged enough to have been beneficiary of the projects provided by some Government partner agencies. MACOFA is one of the beneficiaries of the Assorted Vegetable Production worth Php 600,000.00 co-funded by the Department of Labor and Employment with equity from City Government.
With this, MACOFA Display Center and turnover of Assorted Organic Vegetable Production was conducted and launched on August 4, 2017 at Public Market, Malaybalay City. Various organic products were displayed.
Everyone is invited to support and visit the MACOFA Display Center.
