Barangay Profile

Barangay Capitan angel was created under R.A. 3590 dated 1957. It has a total land area of 3,500 hectares. It is bounded in the north by Barangay Dalwangan, in the east by Barangay Kalasungay, in the west by Mt. Kitanglad and in the south by Barangay Imbayao. The Barangay is 18 kilometers away from Poblacion Malaybalay City.

The Barangay Administration Center is located in Purok 02. It is also the site of the Barangay Plaza, Covered Court, Health Center, Barangay Office, BPSO outpost, Day Care Center and Elementary School. The Nutrition Center is located at Purok 3. Purok 1 is located in western part of the barangay, Purok 2 is the poblacion, Purok 3 is located in the upper North, and Purok 4 is in Upper West.

Historical Background

Ang Balaod nga gibasehan sa pagka barangay sa CAPITAN ANGEL mao ang Akta Republika 3590 ug gikan sa pagka sityo nga sakop sa Barangay Kalasungay naaprobahan nga regular Barangay sa tuig 1963. Ang pagtamod sa gisaulog nga “ ALDAW TA KAPITAN ANGEL” sa kada Abril 20-21 sa matag tuig maoy gitamod sa kadaghanan nga Abril 20,1963 ang pitsa sa pagratipikasyon kun sa pagkaaprobar nga Barangay. ug ginganlan nga BARANGAY CAPITAN ANGEL agig pasidungog kang Honorable Kapitan Angel Casinabe sa inahang Barangay nga mao ang Barangay Kalasungay.

Sigun sa nahitala sa rekords ang total land areas adunay Tres Mil kinintos hiktaryas (3,500 has.) ang giluagon sa yuta nga gihatagan nga pondasyon nga nagasangkad sa Norte mao ang sapa sa lalawan, sa Sur mao ang sapa sa pamukulan, sa sidlakan mao ang gikan sa sabangan sa sapa sa kalatugunan ug sawaga river paingon ngadto sa sabangan sa kaulon ug pamukulan s kasadpan mosangko sa bukid sa lunayon.
