The City Health Office (CHO), in collaboration with the Provincial Health Office (PHO), Popdev section, and provincial Popdev Division, conducted a family planning outreach on August 28, 2024, at the Barangay Mapulo covered court and Upper Pulangi Lying-in Clinic.
The event provided essential reproductive health services, including the insertion, removal, and replacement of progestin subdermal implants (PSI). A total of 93 women of reproductive age received implant services, while 11 women underwent IUD insertion and check-ups.
This outreach was part of the Family Planning Month celebration, aimed at promoting healthier families and responsible parenthood. Midwives from Upper Pulangi, Highway, and Población also participated in the activity, receiving supportive supervision to enhance their skills.
The event recognized midwives who successfully completed their post-training evaluations, contributing to their professional development. Special thanks were extended to the provincial Popdev Division and PHO for providing meals to clients and personnel.
