The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) organized the National Children’s Month (NCM) Celebration with the Camp Bulilit Contest, highlighting participants from various districts and cities. November 9, 2023: Districts 3, 4, 5 at Aglayan Covered Court; November 10, 2023: District 6 at Indalasa Covered Court; November 14, 2023: Districts 1 & 2 at Barangay 9 Covered Court; November 15, 2023: District 7 at Can-ayan Child Development Center; November 17, 2023: City Level Contest at Barangay 9 Covered Court.

The event saw the active participation of day care children from 117 Child Development Centers in the city.

In commemoration of the 31st anniversary of National Children’s Month, the City Council for the Welfare of Children (CCWC) has prepared activities suitable for children, focusing on upholding and extending children’s rights to the barangay level. The goal is to capacitate children as rights-holders by developing their talents and encouraging their participation in child-friendly activities.

Children from each development center showcased their talents in various activities such as song solo, spoken poetry (tula), folk dance, and larong lahi.

The competition progressed from the district level, with the winners first and second place per category advancing to the city level. The child-friendly activities were made possible through the efforts and recommendations of the City Council for the Welfare of Children.
