The 8th Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Malaybalay conducted its first official meeting dubbed as Inaugural Session on July 2, 2019 presided by City Vice Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran.
City Officials convened for their fresh mandate as elected public officials for a three-year term (2019-2022).
The august body took the oath of affirmation before Vice Mayor Pabillaran at SP Session Hall, Old City Hall.
One of the agenda highlighted was the discussion of the chairmanship of different committees in the legislative department under which each council member will hold and represent.
Standing 8th SP committees were as follows:
Councilor Estelito R. Marabe for Ways and means, Economic Enterprise; and Commerce, Trade, Industry and Labor Relations.
Councilor Niko P. Aldeguer for Cooperatives; and Public Utilities.
Councilor Rendon P. Sangalang for Peace and Order and Public Safety; and Health and Social Welfare Services.
Councilor Hollis C. Monsanto for Codification, Rules and Laws; Blue Ribbon; and Quasi-Judicial.
Councilor Erwin A. Damasco for Human Settlements, Zoning and Land Use; and Senior Citizens and Veterans Affairs.
