A year into office, City Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. received updates on the 38 on-going infrastructure projects in various barangays.
The City Engineer’s Office has reported the status of the said projects totaling to PhP 214 million under their supervision. Based on the report from the office’ officer-in-charge Engr. Roy A. Lapuz, these projects were allocated to different barangays of the City.
The infrastructures include buildings worth ₱ 87.8 million; road & bridges costing to ₱58.6 million, and water systems worth ₱ 3.7million. Some ₱ 64.2 million was also allocated for other structures, said Engr. Lapuz.
Among these projects, five were recently completed, including the Malaybalay City Fire Station (Phase – II) located at Barangay 2 amounted to ₱7.9 million. Other notable accomplishments were the onsite sanitary landfill office building with a budget of ₱2 million, and the water system of Barangay Mapulo worth ₱3.5 million.
Other on-going projects are the concreting of City Housing road section in Casisang, the rehabilitation of multi-purpose building stage in Magsaysay; and the concreting of junction old Managok Road to Maligaya Road.
The construction of tribal offices in barangays Kalasungay, Indalasa, Kulaman, Zamboanguita, Caburacanan, Miglamin, and Bangcud are also on-going, and completion is targeted at the end of this year.
