Amid the pandemic, the 55 on-going infrastructure projects in various barangays in Malaybalay City continue its constructions supervised.
The City Engineer’s Office has reported the status of the said projects totaled to Php 229 million under their supervision. Based on the repor, officer-in-charge Engr. Roy A. Lapuz said these projects were allocated to different barangays of the City.
The infrastructures include buildings worth ₱ 91 million, road & bridges costing ₱ 63 million, and water systems worth ₱ 5 million. An amount of ₱ 70 million was also granted for other structures, said Engr. Lapuz.
Among these projects, six were recently completed involving the covered court stage (Negotiated 2FB) located at Barangay 11 amounted to ₱ 990,856.77, rehabilitation of Evacuation Center at Barangay Cabangahan costs ₱ 995,015.52, and the Multi-Purpose Hall at Barangay Laguitas with a budget of ₱ 498,485.14. Other notable accomplishments were the improvements of the Multi-purpose Building at Purok 2 of Barangay Caburacanan amounting to ₱ 345,000.48, the categorized sanitary landfill allotted of ₱ 21 million, and the tribal office of Barangay Indalasa designated with ₱ 438,748.32.
Other on-going projects are the concreting of the City Housing road section and construction of BFP Multi-Purpose Building in Casisang, the Reservoir at Green Valley in Dalwangan; and the rehabilitation of water source at Purok 3 of Barangay Mapayag.
The construction of the controlled disposal facility closure and slope protection at Barangay Can-ayan is also on-going, and completion is targeted before the end of the year.
