With the addition of Johnsons and Johnsons vaccine in the inventory, more and more people classified under A2 and A3 were inoculated at the Enhanced Screening Area (ESA), Brgy 4 on July 21-23, 2021.
A total of 1,951 were vaccinated in a given single day on July 23, 2021, the highest so far prompting vaccination teams extend their service. Among the numbers vaccinated were getting their second dose of Astrazeneca.
Medical frontliners, including staff and personnel, were overwhelmed with the huge turnout as it broke another record high compared to last week’s 1,267 jabs.
The City Health Office headed by Dr. Dennis Sangalang continues to encourage the public to fully support government’s program to ramped up its vaccination drive while we are facing another variant of the virus.
Since rollout of senior citizens, Dr. Sangalang urged Malaybalay residents to let the elderlies get vaccinated. He hoped that we can achieved 80 percent of the target for A2 so that we can proceed to another priority group.
Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. has continued inspecting the area in his free time to get feedback from the frontliners and the public. He said he wants to be ensured all the operations are in proper order.
On the other hand, Congressman John T. Flores also showed up at ESA to express his support and gratitude to all frontliners who showed their dedication and commitment in serving hundreds each day.
Since July 23, at least 28,800 vaccines were already deployed and were closely supervised by City disaster response vice-chairperson, Roberto T. Flores.
