The Business Permits and Licensing Division has announced the extension of the deadline of renewal of business permits and licenses and motorela permits as cited in SP Resolution No. 2021-0590.
Due to the implementation of Covid-19 minimum public health standards, Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) technical working group requested for an extension that has deadline every January 20, following the end of the preceding calendar year based on the Revenue Code of the City.
Given the surge of Covid-19 cases in January, scheduling of barangays were adjusted to ensure the safety of clients in transacting while observing alert level 3 health protocol.
Adjusted deadline were as follows: Poblacion Brgys and Highway cluster brgys on February 4; Basakan and Upper Pulangi cluster on February 18; and motorela permits on February 28.
As of January 20, more than 2,700 have already registered and renewed their permits and licenses. The licensing division monitoring report has recorded a total of 5,813 number of business establishment registered last year.
On average, BOSS transaction lasted only for 1 hour and 30 minutes for a client with complete requirements. This is also aim to answer the call of government’s mandate dubbed, “Ease of doing business.”
