The City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) held a technical writing workshop on October 29, 2024, at the Liga Conference Room in Sumpong, Malaybalay City.

The workshop began with a welcoming address by Magnolia O. Improgo, the City’s Human Resource Management Officer, who highlighted the importance of technical writing in the workplace. She emphasized that effective communication is key to conveying complex information clearly and accurately.

Following her introduction, Sansehry B. Delos Santos, DPA, HRMO IV, led a session on setting expectations. Delos Santos encouraged participants to engage actively and explore the significance of technical writing in their daily responsibilities.

The workshop’s speaker, Jeanybean M. Dacalanio, Development Management Officer III, conducted a comprehensive plenary session focused on the essentials of technical writing. She covered practical topics, including the proper structure and language for letters, memos, and emails, along with tips for grammatical accuracy.

Dacalanio emphasized the importance of clear and precise communication, as well as techniques to organize thoughts effectively.

The workshop concluded with participants from different offices expressing a deeper understanding of how technical writing can amplify the impact of their work.
