The City Government of Malaybalay through the established quarantine facilities had seen a decrease of Covid-19 patients admitted in recent weeks as the new confirmed cases continue to slow down.

According to report, the Enhance Screening Area (ESA) Triage has recorded zero Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) positive for three days in a given 5-day period from October 11 to 15 with at least 285 underwent medical screening and testing.

As of October 20, a total of seven patients only were confined at the City government-run facilities where five at Macempc Guesthouse (Pelots), Brgy. Laguitas, while two quarantined at Ligtas Covid Center (LCC) in Brgy. Patpat. This is the first time in the span of four months that less than 10 individuals were in isolation facilities since surge of cases broke out.

The TESDA quarantine facility in Brgy. Casisang has also reported zero patient after medical frontliners were delighted to discharge their last patient last October 19, while the Dalwangan quarantine facility with 30-bed capacity remains empty.

It can be recalled that in the previous months where referral hospitals were at full capacity, these facilities were receiving moderate to severe Covid-19 cases, providing medical treatment and care to patients under medical doctor’s order and management.

City Mayor Florencio “Doc Boy” T. Flores, Jr. has ordered an executive order, easing up some restrictions putting the City under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) classification on October 19, 2021.

Mayor Flores continues to urge the public to get vaccinated as the national government now caters the vaccine to the general adult population. He hoped that in the coming weeks, the City will be the leading locality in the province, in terms of the highest number of vaccines deployed as we are nearing to 90,000 of total doses administered.
