The City Veterinary Office (CVO) conducted a seminar on cattle care and management, along with a livestock insurance program on August 1, 2024, in Brgy. Silae. The event was organized by the CVO-Livestock Production and attended by members of the Brgy. Silae Livestock Farmers Association, who recently received 10 heads of cattle under the Livestock Intensification Program.

Dr. Omar Cahanap, Livestock Program Officer, led discussions on cattle care, management, and diseases, providing crucial insights for maintaining healthy livestock. Rexan Van Dequito, Livestock Officer on Dispersal, covered the signs of heat and the dispersal program, while Annabel C. Sia, Livestock Officer on Livestock Insurance, explained the guidelines for livestock insurance. Romeo A. Catabas, Livestock Production Officer, demonstrated silage making.

The seminar aims to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure healthy and productive cattle, enhancing their livelihoods and contributing to the agricultural development of Malaybalay City.
