The office of the City Mayor has issued a memorandum order to various teams and task force as well as responsible local agencies reiterating our strict implementation of minimum public health standards and community quarantine protocols in the City of Malaybalay.
The order was issued on May 31, 2021 signed by Officer-In-Charge, Councilor Cecille C. Pagaling in an effort to strengthen our measures to mitigate the alarming rise of confirmed cases in the province where our City has tallied a total of 126 active cases as of June 2, 2021 in just two weeks from 52 active cases on May 18, 2021.
Different task force in charge to implement the said order urged the public to follow the said guidelines. Executive Assistant Brian Nelson T. Flores, being the acting head of the Traffic Management Center calls on the transport sector to observe limited public transportation capacity based on the type of public utility vehicle they are operating. Flores added that passengers are required to wear full-face type face shields apart from wearing the mandatory face mask.
Authorized persons outside residence were also reminded to observe health protocol such as proper wearing of face mask, physical distancing and regular handwashing using hand soap or sanitizers. In addition non-essential mass gatherings are prohibited until further revoke.
Some industries were also prohibited to operate until lifted such as entertainment venues, kid amusement parks, cockfighting and operation of cockpits unless permitted under e-sabong, tourism sites, and establishments serving alcohol.
Other existing and in place policies were also enjoined to be strictly enforced such as following required capacity of essential mass gatherings, curfew hours, accommodation allowed capacities, non-contact sports and necessary inspection at quarantine control points.
