With the steady increase of Covid-19 vaccine administered, the City Government of Malaybalay surpassed the target by inoculating a total of 3,206 jabs in a single day on July 26, 2021.
This prompted the City’s Covid-19 task force, through the directive of Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr., to establish another vaccination site situated at Malaybalay City Central School.
The operation of the additional site started on July 27, 2021, a day after the CHO reports a total of 32,065 vaccinated in the City.
Mayor Flores emphasized that with continuous arrival of thousands of vaccines, there is a need to ramp-up its operation, in terms of hitting the daily targets, running well the vaccination phases, and ensuring all clients coming in are managed according to standard health protocols.
Executive Assistant V Roberto T. Flores has been closely supervising the huge turnout of vaccinees for A2 and A3. He said that the willingness and patience of walk-in clients in long queues to get inoculated were remarkable. EA Flores added, “With the addition of the new vaccination site, we could prepare our best effort as we brace for more vaccines pouring in from the national government.”
As of July 26, 2021, more than 32,000 vaccines were deployed since it started the roll-out in March 2021. These vaccines comprised of Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Sputnik-V and Janssen.
