The City Government of Malaybalay thru Covid-19 task force has reported zero new cases for nine consecutive days since November 9, 2021.

Daily tally of active cases put a record low of only 3 active cases as of November 18, 2021. This data reported a surge and went up in August that peaked at around 1,000 active cases.

As of November 18, a total of 114,119 vaccines were deployed, administering 73,473 Malaybalay residents for their first dose, while 40,726 were fully vaccinated.

On the same day, vaccination team administered a record high 2,323 jabs. The recent accomplishment reflects 55.71% first dose of the total target population and 35.49% second dose, respectively.

For the past 10 days, no new recorded deaths were also reported which remains at 142.

City Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. welcomes this new development in our continuing fight against this deadly virus affecting all sectors in society. He thanked the people in submitting themselves for the government’s vaccination effort.

“Vaccines are now available to the rest of adult population, including children ages 12 – 17 years old. There is no reason we can not achieve herd immunity in the near future,” he said during his regular visits at Vaccination Center, ESA, Brgy 4.

Mayor Flores reiterated his call for everyone to get vaccinated. He also stressed to follow health protocol because at this time of pandemic, we can not let our guards down. “The threat is still there so we have to be cautious in our daily activities,” he added.
