The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bukidnon in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Malaybalay through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted the payout worth P1,390,650.00 of wages for 381 beneficiaries from 11 barangays under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program.

The ceremonial turnover was held last April 5, 2022, at Barangay San Jose Covered Court, Malaybalay City. Succeeding payout distribution was then scheduled and held at Barangay Sumpong and Barangay Linabo, respectively.

Each beneficiary received P3,650.00 as salary for the workers in the informal sector who were displaced or whose earnings were affected due to Typhoon Odette.

The activity was graced by DOLE Bukidnon Provincial Director, Mr. Raul L. Valmores, and acting City Administrator/current PESO Manager, Atty. Anna Marie R. Bergado.

Valmores expressed his gratitude to City Government of Malaybalay specifically to the City PESO for its continuous support and assistance to the DOLE programs and activities.

On the other hand, Atty. Bergado assured the beneficiaries that the City government through the City PESO will strive to work hard so that programs such as TUPAD will reach the marginalized sectors. Further, she reminded the beneficiaries to be wise in expending their received salaries.

Also present during the activity are DOLE Provincial TUPAD Coordinators and Malaybalay City PESO Staff.
