A senior citizen from Barangay Manalog, City of Malaybalay receives her Award as a Centenarian on August 8, 2023.

This is in relation to Republic Act 10868 also known as Centenarian Act of 2016 who pays tribute to all Filipinos who reach 100 years old, whether living in the Philippines or abroad in recognition of their longevity.

103-year-old Mrs. Yaga Sarino Molhay who was born on May 20, 1920, with the help of his son, complied all the requirements such as the birth certificate certifying her age, submitted the application to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DSWD) – 10 for review.

Mrs. Molhay, an eligible beneficiary received the centenarian cash gift amounting to One Hundred Thousand Pesos (P100,000.00) from the national government through the DSWD Centenarian Program. Personnel from DSWD-10 handed the gift and a Letter of Felicitation from the President of the Philippines to Mrs. Molhay.
