The City Economic Enterprise Development and Management Office (CEEDMO) in collaboration with the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) Bukidnon, conducted a Financial Literacy Training/Seminar among 30 vendor-beneficiaries of the Malaybalay City Public Market on March 18, 2022.

The said training/seminar aims to orient market concessionaires on the importance of managing their finances and how to equip themselves more in availing opportunities to improve their living conditions.

Mr. Aldon Honor L. Apa-ap of DTI Bukidnon inculcated the importance of determining “needs VS wants,” most especially in apportioning their income as savings. “Apportioning a part of the daily/monthly income into savings is necessary to meet future and emergency needs”, Mr. Apa-ap added.

CEEDMO envisioned other capacity-building measures like Financial Literacy Seminar/Program in partnership with line agencies like DTI Bukidnon to help market vendors by enabling them to gradually improve their businesses.
