In an effort to strengthen community resilience and preparedness, a Family Disaster Preparedness Seminar was conducted on September 19, 2023, in Barangay Violeta, Malaybalay City. The event was organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), targeting Sitio/Purok Officers as participants with the goal of enhancing their capacity to manage disasters and mitigate their impact.

The seminar employed a combination of discussions, lectures, and interactive workshops to provide attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to safeguard their families and communities during times of crisis. By equipping local leaders with essential disaster preparedness know-how, the aim was to reduce the vulnerability of residents and increase their ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

The initiative recognizes the critical role played by community leaders in disaster management and their potential to lead their respective communities toward a safer and more resilient future.
