City Government of Malaybalay conducted its first ever fire drill with search and rescue simulation at the new City Hall to mark the start of the observance of Fire Prevention Month this March and highlighting a spectacular and colorful display of water salute ceremony.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) of the City spearheaded the activity on March 1, 2018 intensifying its information campaign towards fire-free and safer City of Malaybalay.
BFP in statement said that through this drill it establishes fire exit routes of different offices of City Government.
It also validates the reliability of the installed fire alarm systems in the building and other important fire safety measures.
The showcase of five serviceable fire trucks carrying 16,000 liters of water each signified their readiness and capacity to serve the people of Malaybalay.
Right after, BFP-Malaybalay led a press conference at the People’s Hall attended by media practitioners in the whole province of Bukidnon, as well as participation of business sectors and other stakeholders.
According to BFP, their advocacy programs are leading toward fire-safety conscious citizenry.
The monthlong activity is anchored in the theme “Ligtas na Pilipinas ang ating Hangad, Pag-iingat sa Sunog sa Sarili Ipatupad,”
