The City Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) conducted an orientation on Safe Spaces Act (R.A. 11313) or the Bawal Bastos Law last March 12, 2024 at the Garden Party Venue, Barangay 1, Malaybalay City.

The session covers all forms of gender-based sexual harassment committed in public spaces, educational, or training institutions, workplace, as well as online space.

Emphasizing the fundamental values of human dignity and the full respect for human rights, the orientation underscored the pivotal role of women in national development and ensured the equal treatment of men and women before the law.

Dr. Sansehry B. Delos Santos, HRMO IV, served as the Resource Speaker for the event, which drew the participation of 35 City Government employees.

A pre-test and a post-test were conducted aimed to measure the learning of the participants at the end of the training. The results revealed a significant 38% improvement in understanding, accompanied by a commendable 74% passing rate among attendees.

Furthermore, participants rated the Training Content, Speakers, Facilities, Venue, and Facilitator efforts as Very Satisfactory to Excellent, reflecting the quality and effectiveness of the session.

This serves as a testament of the CHRMO’s strengthened commitment towards professionalism in the conduct of activities in order to sustain service excellence in the government.
