Living up with our mission to stand, work and heal as one, a total of 334 qualified beneficiaries were granted livelihood packages worth five million pesos during the Livelihood Assistance Grant for letter release (LAG-FLR) pay-out held at the People’s Hall, Casisang, this City.
The sustainable livelihood program (SLP) was made possible through the efforts of Congressman, Atty. John T. Flores with coordination and support from Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr., emphasizing, that this activity was aimed to assist the SLP grantees recover from economic losses in which it is used as seed capital to enhance existing, feasible, and viable livelihood projects.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) divided the recipients into two batches from 46 barangays. These individuals whose livelihood were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic received thier pay-out on March 23, 2021, first batch in the morning and second in the afternoon.
Wearing of facemasks and face shields were required and health protocols were strictly implemented as the event commenced.
