The City of Malaybalay recently held the “IGPAAHA TA BARANGAY” Barangay District Promotional Film Competition, featuring the active participation of all 46 barangays divided according to their respective districts.
This event took center stage during the celebration of the 146th Aldaw Ta Malaybalay, aiming to highlight and promote the unique characteristics of each barangay, including their general information, accomplishments, cultural and traditional heritage, as well as tourist spots, through the medium of film, utilizing technological visualization for tourism promotion.
Winning film entries received their awards at the Kaamulan Folk Arts Theater, Kaamulan Grounds, this City on June 15, 2023.
The winners of the competition are as follows:
1st Place: Upper Pulangi District
2nd Place: Barangays Aglayan, Bangcud, Cabangahan & Linabo
3rd Place: Basakan District
Consolation Prizes were awarded to:
4th Place: Poblacion Barangays
5th Place: Barangays San Jose, Laguitas, Magsaysay, Mapayag
6th Place: Imbayao and Capt. Angel
7th Place: Dalwangan, Patpat, and Kalasungay
Special awards were also given:
Best in Promotional Tagline: “Madagway Upper Pulangi”
Most Engaged Film on Social Media: Upper Pulangi District (with 18,400 Facebook interactions)
