Malaybalay City, August 9, 2024—An interagency coordination meeting was convened at the City Planning Office Conference Room in Malaybalay City Hall, bringing together key representatives from the City General Services Office (CGSO), the City Veterinary Office Livestock Production Section, and Barangay Extension Workers Cluster Representatives.

The focus of the meeting was the ongoing challenges faced by the Barangay Livestock Beneficiaries Association Program, which has encountered difficulties in consistent monitoring and maintaining an up-to-date database.

These issues have hindered the accurate assessment of the program’s effectiveness, raising concerns about its long-term sustainability.

Participants discussed strategies to enhance communication and coordination among the involved agencies and stakeholders.

By strengthening these links, the group aims to establish a more reliable system for tracking the program’s progress and ensuring that resources are distributed effectively to those who need them most.

This meeting is part of a broader initiative to revitalize the Barangay Livestock Beneficiaries Association Program, with the ultimate goal of ensuring its continued support for local farmers and the wider community.

The interagency effort underscores the importance of collaboration in addressing local issues and reinforces the city’s commitment to improving the lives of its residents through well-managed and responsive public programs.

The meeting was led by Dioscora R. Niere, CPA, CGSO-Designate, along with Emmylou T. Zagado and Butch Arnel Ocaya, also from CGSO. The City Veterinary Office Livestock Production Section was represented by Dr. Omar T. Cahanap, Livestock Program Officer, and Rexan Van Dequito, Livestock Officer on Dispersal.
