In a collaborative effort to enhance cattle farming practices, the Municipality of Libona hosted a Livestock Artificial Insemination Program, Heat Synchronization, and Animal Health Services event on October 20, 2023.
A total of 42 participants, including Municipal Agriculture Office Livestock Technicians from various towns in the Province, namely Baungon, Maramag, Lantapan, Kadingilan, and Kitaotao, came together to learn and implement advanced techniques in cattle farming.
The event was further enriched with the participation of key organizations, including the National Dairy Authority, Provincial Veterinary Office, and the Department of Agriculture Region 10, and Malaybalay City Livestock Production Breeding and Training Center.
This initiative aims to make breeding more efficient through the implementation of heat synchronization techniques. This approach allows for more predictable calving seasons, which, in turn, leads to higher incomes for farmers.
The concerted effort among stakeholders has not only improved the cattle industry but also brought unity and progress to rural communities and positioned Malaybalay City as one of the leading localities in this industry.
