The City Government of Malaybalay, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, has awarded outstanding families on January 13, 2020 during the Second Monday convocation program held at People’s Hall, City Hall.

The 2019 search for the Model Filipino Family, according to Social Welfare department, aims to recognize families who have worked on strengthening their relationships despite their struggles. Further stated that they displayed an exemplary attribute in raising their children with values and have contributed to the development of their respective communities.

Each barangay and various civic groups nominated entries in the process. Among the recipients were the families of Mr. Benjamin S. Miasco and Mrs. Irene L. Miasco of Barangay 3 who bagged the first place, and Mr. Antonio N. Adviento and Mrs. Emely B. Adviento of Barangay San Martin for the second place.

The winners received a plaque of recognition along with a cash prize of Php 20,000.00 for first place and Php 15,000.00, second place.
