Malaybalay City bagged first place in street dancing category while securing the ground presentation in second place out of 12 contingents who participated this year’s Kaamulan Street Dancing Competition.

The 213-strong participants comprised of dancers, warriors, prop handlers and musicians proved to be a formidable contingent tapping its impressive two-year winning streak for her City after their victory last year adjudged as champions in both categories.

The event was held on March 24, 2018 which Malaybalay entry was the only contingent who clinched two major awards for the street dance and ground presentation.

Among the participating towns included Libona, Valencia City, Lantapan, Kibawe, Pangantucan, Don Carlos, Quezon, Dangcagan, San Fernando, Impasugong and Kalilangan.

Dubbed as the nation’s most authentic ethnic festival, the annual festivity celebrated the gatherings of the seven hill tribes of the province namely Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Umayamnon, Manobo, Tigwahanon and Matigsalog showcasing their rich culture and tradition.

Ground Presentation:
Champion: Pangantucan
1st Runner-up: Malaybalay City
2nd Runner-up: Kalilangan

Champion: Lantapan
1st Runner-up: Quezon
2nd Runner-up: Libona
