faresystem

The Sangguniang Panlungsod approved the Ordinance No. 1023 Series of 2023 – An ordinance adopting the Fare Matrix System of Motorela Operations in the City of Malaybalay.

Due to fluctuation of gas prices, the Chairman on the Committee on Transportation and Traffic Management Hon. Niko P. Aldeguer proposed an ordinance adopting automatic fare matrix system and pakyaw fare matrix for motorela operations within the City of Malaybalay.

The pandemic and recent events (e.g. war in Ukraine vs Russia) have severely affected the world market and thus caused fluctuation in fuel prices.

A public hearing was conducted by the Malaybalay City Franchising and Regulatory Board (MCFRB) relative to the proposed automatic fare matrix system.

After careful consideration of the discussion during the public hearing the MCFRB resolved to adopt the said fare matrix system.

The fare matrix system had been derived from computing the average number of passengers, fare, gasoline consumption, trips, maximum daily rounds less expenses ( e.g. gasoline expenses, motorela rental).

The following table shows the fare matrix system:
