The City Government of Malaybalay has released livelihood funds through the City Social Welfare and Development Office to 46 barangays amounting to P1.4 million on March 7 to 11, 2022. A total of 466 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) benifited the assistance.
The program was conducted by district at Upper Pulangi District, Basakan District, Highway District, Poblacion 2 District, and Poblacion 1 District with their respective assigned venues in Barangays Mapulo, Simaya, Kalasungay, Aglayan, and Barangay 1.
This regular program started with a livelihood orientation followed by the release of livelihood fund of P3,000 per beneficiary charged to the BHW trust fund. Through this intervention, recipients who are frontliners will have economic oppportunity to help sustain their needs while receiving monthly honorarium of P 3,000 per month.
This year, the CSWD community welfare & livelihood section headed by PDO III Reynaldo P. Valdez will regularly monitor the livelihood program as required one month after the release. Reported by: Divina Rizza S. Pacudan, NADA-CSWD
