As part of the Kaamulan Festival 2022 celebrations sponsored by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Provincial Tourism Office, different cities and municipalities in cooperation with the respective tourism offices in the province of Bukidnon, participated in the Kaamulan 2022 Culture and Arts Exhibit featuring the MADAGAYA Trade Fair.
It was formally opened last March 25, 2022, at Robinson’s Place Valencia and culminated April 3, 2022.
MADAGAYA Trade Fair aims to promote the music, tradition, culture, heritage, sceneries, and bounties of Bukidnon. The Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Chorale and Dance Troupe, Ayani Band, and Malaybalay City Band performed on stage as talents relresenting Malaybalay City.
As well as the Tagolwanen Women Weavers’ “One Town One Product” Showroom and Bukidnon State University Museum, flaunted their products in the LGU-Malaybalay City booth.
The opening program was graced by Department of Tourism 10 Regional Director May S. Unchuan, DTI Bukidnon-Provincial Director Famelah Racquel D. Villanueva together with DTI personnel. Bukidnon Provincial Tourism Officer Butch Anthony Melendez together with Tourism Personnel and staff, Mayors of the Cities and Municipalities of the province, Department Heads of Malaybalay City, and Heads of National Agencies, so with the exhibitors and performers also attended the event.
During the closing program of the said activity, Malaybalay City was awarded by the DTI – Bukidnon as the Best Selling booth.
