In observing February dubbed as “Love Month,” the City Mayor’s Office sponsored the second Monday convocation program of the City Government of Malaybalay anchored on the theme: “Love for Work as Core Value in Public Service,” on February 10, 2020.
Held at People’s Hall, City Hall, the love-themed event was graced by the guest speaker, Dr. Vincent Troy A. Del Mundo, a medical doctor who profoundly shared his wisdom and inspiring words revolving in this month’s theme. He expressed his talk embracing the essence of loving our work for the greater good, “we are spending more than half of our lives working and without love in what we do, what a disaster would that be.”
Dr. Del Mundo, in his speech emphasized three key points to have a fresh and stronger love for work. First, he said work is a blessing and a privilege. Second, he underscored that our work is designed to be a blessing to somebody.
Lastly, the good doctor also pointed out that our work is in partnership with God where we are an instrument of his goodness to spread the blessings to the people we serve.
Meanwhile, Office-in-Charge Vice Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran said in his message that we are the privilege few serving more than 180,000-strong citizens of the City. He then urged employees to give the best service to our constituents.
