A new Kubota DC 70 Mechanical Rice Harvester worth One Million Seven Hundred Thousand pesos (Php 1.7 million) was turned over to the Malaybalay City Federation of Irrigator’s Association on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. MCFIA, represented by their president, Fernando Tubale, received the unit at San Martin, Malaybalay City.

Said provision is part of the livelihood program of Congressman Atty. John Keith T. Flores and through the efforts of Mayor Florencio “Docboy” T. Flores, Jr.

The rice harvester is a modern and efficient way of harvesting rice. With its harvesting capacity of 3 – 5 hectares per day, it also provides our farmers comfort in operation and ease in maintaining their machines. The grant aims to increase income of our farmers through reduction of labor cost and would serve as additional income of the association through servicing to other farmers.

Mayor Flores shared to the recipients to be grateful since the grant is a blessing and they are just instruments used by God to provide the unit. He further reminded MCFIA to continue their cooperation and unity for the progress not just of the association but including all farmers of Malaybalay City so that we can attain additional food production for the people of Malaybalay.

Also present during the ceremony were Councilor Niko Aldeguer, Acting Assistant City Agriculturist Engr. Naomie H. Delos Reyes, MCFIA Coordinator Sherwin Blanco along with the members of the MCFIA.
