To show gratitude and appreciation to our medical fronliners, the City Governmnet of Malaybalay held a program and simple luncheon dubbed as “Recognition of Medical Doctors, Covid-19 Frontline Volunteers” on August 26, 2020 at the People’s Hall.
City Administrator Herculano S. Ronolo, in his welcome speech, thanked the doctors for giving their unselfish service during this pandemic. He also expressed his gratitude through the spirit of “bayanihan”, helping each other to serve the Filipino people, especially the people of Malaybalay.
Thee simple tokens given to them symbolize the City’s deep appreciation for their generous contribution particularly contributing to the planning of the Enhanced Screening Area (ESA) and rendering clinic hours at said facility. They were also cited for their other forms of support in the City’s fight against Covid-19.
In the citation, Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. expressed his appreciation to these doctors for “all they have done and continue to do for the city folk of Malaybalay”.
Vice Mayor Atty. Jay Warren R. Pabillaran ended the event with a message, expressing his gratefulness for the time spent by the doctors at the Enhanced Screening Area that greatly helped ease the uncertainties of the people especially during the onset of the crisis.
Also, in attendance during the ceremony were IATF Chairperson Dr. Dennis P. Sanggalang, together with the Emergency and Operation Center (EOC) responsible officers, Executive Assistants Roberto T. Flores and Brian T. Flores, and members of the Incident Management Team (IMT).
