Held at the Public Market, the opening and blessing of the first “Isnakanan sa Merkado” was led by the City Economic Enterprise Development and Management Office (CEEDMO).
On June 07, 2021, Rev. Fr. Jonathan Tianero officiated the blessing ceremony. Afterwards the ribbon cutting was led by Mayor Florencio “Doc Boy” T. Flores Jr. with Vice Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran.
Mayor Flores, in his message, thanked all the vendors and wished them success in their businesses. In addition, he also provided P1,000 each as additional capital to start their business.
Meanwhile, CEEDMO Head Officer Designate Romeo R. Lapeciros, Jr. said that the shops are open from 8am to 5pm every day until Sunday and are reminded to observe safety health protocols.
Comprised of eight ( units/kiosks, each unit sells a variety of snack items such as biko, toron, lumpia, french fries, shawarma, baked goods, japanese cake and more. Its purpose is to provide livelihood to the city of Malaybalay.
Attendees were Market Committee members: Executive Assistant V Roberto Flores, DTI representative Jun Taban-ud, City Treasurer’s Office OIC Rosie Dumas, City Budget Officer Arlene Ho, Abel Villamayor and CEEDMO employees.
