In celebration of the 48th anniversary of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), the Malaybalay City Chapter guided and supported by the City Social Development and Welfare Office, conducted three purposeful activities last July 2022.

The celebration commenced with a motorcade starting at Brgy. Bangcud, and was followed by distribution of 60 school supplies and hygiene kits for identified youth, and used clothing for their families, all of which were from Purok 1.

The third part of the celebration was a skills training for the 25 PYA youth groups. They were given lectures and hands-on training in making longganisa, and also production of dishwashing liquid and powder soap. This last activity aimed at enabling them to a livelihood worthy of pursuing even as they also continue with their studies or work.

All these initiatives were spearheaded by the CSWDO-OIC Ivy Amor C. Urbina, under the leadership of City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran.
