The City Government of Malaybalay through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) conducted identification and validation for Livelihood Assistance Grants (LAG) 4 on March 11, 2022. The program’s total amount allocated is worth Php 6,450,000.
At least 430 new target-beneficiaries will be referred for review at DSWD-10 following the guidelines as stipulated in the program. The LAG recipient shall also be a recognized SAP (social amelioration program) beneficiary. Furthermore, recipient will receive Php 6,000.00 from the DSWD whose livelihood affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
Due to health protocol, letters were sent to the barangays for helping the identification of recipients following the DSWD guidelines. Validations were then conducted jointly by DSWD along with CSWDO livelihood personnel to the individual livelihood sites. The final list has been submitted to DSWD PDO for reviewing or re-assessing until it will be forwarded back to CSWDO.
Since August 2020, the City of Malaybalay has been a recipient of the DSWD–LAG program through the coordination of CSWDO. To date, 760 LAG beneficiaries received each with Php 15,000, and 334 use LAG concepts recipients of the program with funding from the 2nd district congressional fund worth Php 5,010,000.
