The Malaybalay Public Employment Service Office (PESO) attended the 120th Labor Day celebration conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bukidnon, anchored on the theme: “Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa” on April 29, 2022.

Held at Barangay 9 Covered Court, this city, the activity started with an opening remarks given by Atty. Anna Marie R. Bergado, Malaybalay City’s PESO Manager. She said that it is important for us, employees, to have that love for work and good relationship with co-employees so that we can create and leave a remarkable legacy. Further, she reminded that employees should celebrate the hard work that even if every day is a hard day when we go home to our families, we still feel alright.

Provincial Director DOLE-Bukidnon Raul L. Valmores, emphasized in his Labor Day message with regards to the DOLE’s mandate. He stressed that the DOLE is tasked to enrich and support the workers so that they can contribute to the development of the economic workforce in the country.

Focal persons of various programs under DOLE were also present to hand over the grants and aid to different beneficiaries. The following activities were conducted during the celebration: TUPAD Payout of salaries; DILP Turnover; Release of checks for Death and Maternity Benefits under SAP; Release of Certificate of Registration for Rural Worker’s Associations; Release of Monetary Settlement Claims under SENA; Ceremonial Contract Signing of SPES Beneficiaries under LGU Malaybalay City; Release of Grants to OFWs (Death Benefits, Livelihood, and Scholarship); Release of SPIMS Teaching Kits of OFW Teachers; and Balik Pinay, Balik Hanapbuhay livelihood grants to returning OFWs.
