The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) marked its 50th Founding Anniversary with a grand celebration from July 24-26, 2024, at the Kaamulan Open Theatre in Malaybalay City.

Attended by representatives from five provinces and eight cities within Region 10, the event highlighted the theme “Golden Milestone: Fostering Generational Youth Led Initiatives for Inclusivity and Social Change.”

The three-day celebration, hosted by the Province of Bukidnon along with the cities of Valencia and Malaybalay, saw a total of 300 delegates. The first day kicked off with a vibrant motorcade, showcasing the pride and unity of the participants. This was followed by a spectacular Festival of Dance, where various groups displayed their cultural heritage through captivating performances.

The Bench Cheering event added to the festive atmosphere with enthusiastic supporters cheering for their teams. The day concluded with the Sharing of Success Stories, which inspired attendees with heartfelt testimonials of personal and communal achievements.

The second day featured a challenging Amazing Race that tested the participants’ skills and teamwork. The Mr. and Ms. PYAP pageant highlighted the charisma of young leaders, while PYAP Got Talent showcased a variety of impressive talents.

The celebration culminated with the awarding of winners, recognizing outstanding efforts and contributions, and a lively Social Night where everyone came together to dance, celebrate, and forge new friendships.

This anniversary event was a testament to the enduring legacy and vibrant spirit of the PYAP community within Region 10, underscoring the importance of youth-led initiatives for inclusivity and social change.
