Thirteen (13) delegates representing the City Government of Malaybalay won the poster-making contest, and was also recognized as the “most applauded success story,” during the regional 48th founding anniversary of Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) on July 26 – 29, 2022.

 A total of 11 local government units joined the said celebration where various activities were conducted such as capacity building, larong lahi, amazing race, and presentation of groups, held at Jamboree Camp, Lunotan, Civoleg, Gingoog City.

The 4-day activity was attended by the city’s representatives composed of two personnel from CSWD – Youth Welfare section, two focal persons, and nine selected PYAP federation youth leaders.

One of the highlights was the search for Mr. & Ms. PYAP False. The event was graced by DSWD regional director Meri-Flor Dollaga-Libang along with Gingoog City Mayor Erick Cañosa.

The PYAP aims to promote innovative programs and services and further strengthen the capabilities of disadvantaged youth in communities.
