The City Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) under the leadership of Magnolia O. Improgo, CGDH I, conducted the Public Service Ethics and Accountability Seminar-Workshop on July 17, 2024, at the Gardens Party Venue, Malaybalay City. The event was attended by 40 employees of the City Government, including Division Heads and Section Heads.
The seminar-workshop aimed to instill in employees the moral standards expected by the government. It emphasized that the improvement of public services relies on public ethics and accountability, benefiting individuals and the community through more responsive services.
Dr. Sansehry B. Delos Santos, SAO (HRMO IV) from the City Human Resource Management Office, served as the resource speaker. She discussed the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713) and facilitated workshop activities that saw active participation from attendees.
Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran delivered a strong message on accountability, ethics, and public service. He urged attendees to serve the community selflessly and emphasized that success and development start with personal integrity and the courage to do what is right.
The event concluded with the Personal Integrity Action Plan and Personal Integrity Statement, where attendees took an oath to pursue a purpose greater than self-service. Participants rated the seminar as Very Satisfactory to Excellent in terms of Training Content, Speakers, Facilities, Venue, and Facilitator efforts.
