Barangay Profile

Originally, the old barangay site was located one kilometer from the present site across the pulangi river, which was the residential place of the supreme Datu Mansigayan, however, the people found the place unfavorable so through the efforts of Datu Pedro “ Andamon” Dasion, Datu Celestino Dasion and Datu Larino Sagiwan and with the approval of the Municipal Mayor Lorezo Dinlayan and INP Chief Alejandro Bansing, they transferred the site to another site on the other side of Pulagi river which is now the Barangay Indalasa.

Mission

Attain Barangay development of Indalasa and Strengthen people’s cooperation through constant democratic consultation to all sectors and effective delivery of basic services based on justifiable distributions of natural resources and all sustainable ways of living through the years to come.

Vision

We envisioned Barangay Indalasa to become an agricultural crop producers through new technology and Enhance Basic Education to Improve the quality of living and maintain a balanced bio-diversity environment with structurally sound in and God fearing Passionate Leaders.

History

The name INDALASA came from a Bukidnon Term “ Inda-lasa” , meaning a common place where all tribal cases are heard and tried in accordance to their customs, traditions and practices.

Originally, the old barangay site was located one kilometer from the present site across the pulangi river, which was the residential place of the supreme Datu Mansigayan, however, the people found the place unfavorable so through the efforts of Datu Pedro “ Andamon” Dasion, Datu Celestino Dasion and Datu Larino Sagiwan and with the approval of the Municipal Mayor Lorezo Dinlayan and INP Chief Alejandro Bansing, they transferred the site to another site on the other side of Pulagi river which is now the Barangay Indalasa.

After a year of the transfer, Datu larino Sagiwan was appointed as Bario Lieutenant. However, a year after datu Larino Sagiwan left for Umayam and was succeeded by Datu Pedro “ Andamon “ Dasion as acting Bario Lieutenant until the next election. Barangay Captain Cerilo Rodriguez Sr. was elected. He was succeeded by Teodoro Fuentes until the time he lost to Barangay Captain Eladio C. Pancho. Barangay captain Eladio C. Pancho served Barangay Indalasa until his last term in 2007. The late Barangay Captain Carmen C. Ratunil was elected in2007. Unfortunately, she died in 2008 and Kagawad Eladio C. Pancho being the number one barangay councilor succeeded her. For the Administrative year of 2011-2017, Hon. Romeo Manatad is the Punong Barangay and at the Present , Hon. Gina S. Pailagao is currently holding office.

For Plitical reference, Barangay Indalasa Existed per RA   3590 dated 1964 and the following were its leaders since 1964 up to present.
