On October 8, 2024, the City Administrator’s Office (CAdO) of Malaybalay, led by the Organization Development Division under Ms. Jeanyben M. Dacalanio, CHRP, convened a strategic planning session at the New City Hall Conference Room.

The event opened with an inspiring message from City Administrator Atty. Anna Marie R. Bergado, CPA, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and forward-thinking in addressing the plans of the CAdO.

During the session, personnel from various units within CAdO, including the Management Information Section (MIS), Information Division, Admin Support Unit, and Organization Development Division (ODD), participated in productive discussions focused on outlining strategic goals and initiatives to enhance public services and community engagement.

Key topics included conducting a SWOT analysis for each division, defining strategic initiatives, setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and developing actionable plans for execution and monitoring. The participants also discussed evaluation methods, continuous improvement tools, and risk assessment strategies essential for creating a realistic and attainable strategic plan.

In closing, Atty. Bergado challenged the staff, saying, “Hopefully, these will not remain as plans, but little by little, we will achieve them—not individually, but through collective effort,” encouraging collaboration in reaching their goals.
