To effectively manage and ease traffic congestion as one of the marching orders of President Duterte to local government units, the City Government of Malaybalay has implemented a 15-day dry run “No Parking Policy” to main thoroughfare of the City along Fortich Street with its enforcement coverage from Sumpong-Kalasungay bridge up to Barangay 9-Casisang bridge.

The two-week implementation per Resolution No. 2019 – 0009 is manned by the Traffic Management Center (TMC) personnel together with the assistance of police and barangay public safety officer (BPSO) volunteers to ensure that all types of motor vehicles are not allowed to park in a given specified period starting September 1 until September 15, 2019.

The policy states that no vehicles are allowed to park from 6:00 o’clock in the morning until 8:00 in the evening from Mondays to Saturdays, except on Sundays.

TMC urged the motorists to obey the traffic rules implemented by the City in support to the proposed local traffic code with its mandate to ease and lessen traffic woes.

Coordination, collaboration and consultation with barangays will also be done to resolve traffic issues and concerns in a rational manner based on facts relative in the implementation of the proposed ordinance, according to TMC.
