The City Government of Malaybalay through the CHO-Population & Development, conducted the Pre-Marriage Orientation and Counseling (PMOC) for the month of June 2023, with a total of 31 couples attended at the POPDEV OFFICE, CEEDMO building, Barangay 9, Malaybalay City.

The PMOC, which took place throughout the month of June, featured esteemed resource speakers who shared their expertise and insights. Pastor Michael F. Mendiola, Ms. Marose F. Bordaje, Ms. Loarna S. Bansag, and Ms. Melani M. Madrones were among the speakers who addressed various crucial aspects of marriage.

During the seminar, participants engaged in interactive discussions centered around key topics. These included exploring the biblical and spiritual aspects of marriage, understanding the principles of a successful marital union, delving into responsible parenthood and family planning, and identifying the essential elements necessary for a thriving and harmonious marriage.

The goals of the said activity are to give emphasis on the importance of marriage and to strengthen the use of Family Planning upon entering the married life. Couples were tasked to make their 10-year plan and one-month budget plan that they look forward to and will serve as their blueprint for a successful marriage.
