In celebration of its 50th Founding Anniversary and the 36th year of its Malaybalay Chapter, the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) hosted a highly successful Fun Run for a Cause on July 6, 2024, at the Provincial Capitol in Malaybalay City.

Over 300 participants of all ages, including PYAP members and officers, took part in the event, which was spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Malaybalay.

The Fun Run aimed to support the PYAP Malaybalay Outreach Program for Indigenous Peoples (IP) children, now in its third year of implementation. Participants, ranging from enthusiastic children to seasoned runners, gathered to run, jog, and walk along the scenic route from the Provincial Capitol to Barangay Can-ayan.

The event not only promoted physical fitness but also fostered a sense of community and shared purpose. The vibrant atmosphere was filled with energy and camaraderie as runners united for a meaningful cause.

The proceeds from the Fun Run will be dedicated to supporting IP children through the outreach program led by the PYAP Malaybalay Federation, highlighting the importance of collective effort in giving back to the community.
