City Health Office holds a symposium focusing on Mental Health Awareness, Climate Change, and Gender Sensitivity was held on June 10, 2024, in Brgy Maligaya.
The event was led by Mental Health Coordinator Shelleme O. Macatol and Mental Health Assistant Coordinator Gazel Dela Cruz, with participation from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and other local offices.
The symposium highlighted mental health as one of the most relevant and timely topics, addressing the rising cases of mental illness and disorders. Discussions also covered the challenges of promoting mental health due to existing stigma and the implementation of the newly enacted mental health law.
The event aimed to provide youth with awareness of societal issues, especially the difficult moments they face, offering them valuable insights and support.
